Study routes and costs

For study routes 1 and 2 there is an advance payment and the remaining balance can be paid over 15 months. This gives you the flexibility on how to fund the training. For example, you may wish to come to an agreement with the learner whereby they reimburse part (or all) of the cost through their salary once they start earning as an adviser.

Route 1 – Full training programme

  • Includes soft skills, adviser skills and business skills
  • Includes the starting qualification ‘FSRE’ (exam exemption for those already holding this or the RO1 qualification)
  • Learners will attain the Diploma for Financial Advisers (DipFA®) and the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP®) qualifications
  • Suitable for those who want to be able to give full financial advice

The total cost is £7,500. A payment of £2,500 is paid before the programme commences, and the remaining £5,000 balance is spread over 15 months. The first payment is due 1 month after studying begins.

Route 2 – DipFA® only programme

  • As route 1 but designed for those who already have the CeMAP® qualification

The total cost is £7,500. A payment of £2,500 is paid before the programme commences, and the remaining £5,000 balance is spread over 15 months. The first payment is due 1 month after studying begins.

Route 3 – CeMAP® only programme

  • Includes soft skills and adviser skills
  • Includes the starting qualification ‘FSRE’ (exam exemption for those already holding this or the RO1 qualification)
  • Learners will attain the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) qualification
  • Suitable for those who want to be Mortgage and Protection Advisers

The total cost is £2,500 which is due before the programme commences.

Route 4 – Adv DipFA® programme

  • This will include Pension Transfers, Long Term Care and Later Life Planning, Managing Investments and Taxation, Trusts and Tax Compliance
  • It can be studied as a full programme or you can opt for individual module(s) that bring you that step closer to achieving exams for specific licenced areas of business, such as Pension Transfers and Long Term Care and Later Life Planning
  • Suitable for those who already have their Level 4 Diploma and are looking to advance their qualifications

The total cost is £5,500 and is paid for prior to each module commencing. The breakdown of costs is as follows:

  • Pension Transfers £1,500
  • Long Term Care and Later Life Planning £1,500
  • Manging Investments £1,250
  • Taxation, Trusts and Tax Compliance £1,250

Finding you a new adviser to join your business

Placement fee £1,000

Protecting your investment

We can give you appropriate wording to insert into your existing contracts to ensure that an individual has to remain at your firm for a specified length of time or is obliged to pay back the cost of their training.
