Q1. I don’t have any experience in financial services or any financial qualifications – can I still apply for this programme?
Absolutely. Anyone is welcome to apply for our combined ‘CeMAP® and DipFA®’ programme, there’s no need for prior financial services experience or qualifications, although you would ideally have Maths and English GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade C or above.
Q2. I am interested in this programme, but I want to continue my current employment outside the financial services industry whilst I study. Can I do this?
Yes you can. This will mean you need to cover the cost of your training yourself and you may need to consider how you will attend the live webinars and face-to-face tutorials. Many students who are working outside of the financial services industry do so until they gain their CeMAP® qualification, and then become a trainee mortgage and protection adviser whilst they complete the remainder of their programme. We can help you to find suitable employment should you wish to do this.
Q3. Where will I need to go to sit my exams?
Exams are held at testing centres local to you, with the exception of the final exam which is typically held in London or Manchester.
Q4. I’ve previously completed the first part of this qualification (the FRSE exam) but now wish to carry on studying for the CeMap® – can I do this without having to re-sit the FRSE?
Yes, we can tailor the programme to suit you if you have previously completed the FRSE. Please make this clear on your application form when you get in touch with us.
Q5. When will the next programme begin?
Programmes are run throughout the year – when you start your application we will get in touch to discuss joining the programme, including timings.
