Our CeMAP® programme provides a rounded package of training for anyone looking to become mortgage and protection adviser.
On successful completion of the programme not only will you have gained an industry-recognised qualification, but also the behaviours and skills needed to excel in your new career.
Through the CeMAP® training programme, you will achieve a professional qualification from The London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF):
- The LIBF Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP®)
CeMAP® is designed to provide extensive knowledge of the UK financial regulation mortgages policy and practice, and how to equip you this as effective mortgage advice to your clients.
As part of the CeMAP® programme you will achieve the Level 4 certificate ‘Financial Services, Regulation and Ethics’ (FRSE). This will stand you in good stead if you decide to continue your studies to achieve the DipFA® qualification to allow you to provide full financial advice.
As well as achieving this qualification, you’ll also gain vital skills to help you in your career. Business skills and ethics studies will help you to ensure you’re always working for your clients’ best interests and adviser skills will help you to build a rapport with your clients.
Programme details and costs
The CeMAP® programme is a 26 week part-time programme.
You will be expected to undertake around 10.5 hours of study per week, including 2.5 hours of tutor-led sessions which may be online webinars or face-to-face tutorials.
The location of the face-to-face tutorials depends on where the majority of students are based, but typically take place in London or Manchester. Both the face-to-face and webinar tutorials are during normal working hours, so you may need to make arrangements with your employer to attend these sessions (if we have secured you a work placement whilst you study, we will discuss this with your employer at the outset). All the webinars are recorded so they can be accessed in your own time.
Whilst attendance is not mandatory for every live webinar and face-to-face tutorial, we would encourage all students to attend as many as possible. Some face-to-face tutorials are compulsory.
On successful completion of the programme, you will be a trainee mortgage and protection adviser and will be able to provide mortgage and protection advice to clients.
The maximum total cost for the CeMAP® programme is £2,500. This cost can differ depending on individual circumstances, so please get in touch with us to confirm the cost for you.
We may be able to help you to secure a work placement which could help to cover some or all of these costs.
